today, at work i was wearing more trouled hubble apparel than i was work apparel. and that made me smile.

i had on my goofy heligoats shirt that chris sent out for free underneath my polo and my red TH hoodie on top.

then i realized that i could go a whole week and wear nothing but TH or TH related shirts.

then, i further realized that i have only paid for one of them, and i felt kind of bad.

i should cut them a check.

Anyone who hasn't seen it yet, The Onion released their "Best Albums of 2004" list today.

And while Making Beds in a Burning House didn't make the cut [due to it still not being out, grumble], "14,000 Things to Be Happy About" did make the "Great Songs from Releases that (Mostly) Didn't Make the List" section.

So yea! Excitement.

by chance tonight at the bookstore, my friends and i saw TH in this month's chord magazine. it's just a small paragraph and a snapshot of the boys in the shadow of the golden gate bridge, but it's still pretty badass.

unfortunately, having blown all our money at the thrift store earlier in the evening, none of us there had the money to buy it. ergo, i have no scan to show you. sorry for being a tease. but in case you get your hands on it, it's on page 12 or 13 or something.

hi! i just read about this community on the troubled hubble message board. it's been a while since i checked to see if a community like this existed.

and i'm so glad to know that other people love TB! they are one of my favorites. and i got to see them again in DC last night (my third time seeing them, the other two up in rochester NY where i used to do the college radio thing). i talked to chris a bit afterwards and he said it was one of the weirdest shows he's ever done, i'm not really sure why, as unfortunately there weren't that many people there. they just yelled out weird things.

they didn't play "i love my canoe", which i thought was weird, but what a great show anyway! i don't think i'd ever paid attention to "dulcinea duct tape" before, i really like it now. and they did a silly cover of "runaround sue" on their encore. and the new ep and new songs are great. in summary, i am a happy camper.

photos from the TH show in Huntsville, AL on 15 September 2004. not the best, but this is what happens when you realize that you forgot your camera and go with the kodak funsaver. . .

p.s. some of you nice folk go to NIU, right? barring tragedy, i.e. them taking away my scholarship, i am transferring there in the spring. is it nice?

Was at the Hubble show at Millikin University this weekend (conveniant since that's where I'm going to school.) Fantastic show as usual... definitely the highlight of the event.

Would like to reinforce that the new EP is FANtastic. Pick it up. I'm also highly amused by the new Viking shirts.

That's all the additions from the peanut gallery for now.

I don't know if anyone on here reads mp3 blogs, but they're fantastically wonderful things where people post mp3s with reviews of the track, along with links to where you can buy the cd. I've gotten into way too much music and bought way too many cds because of mp3 blogs.

What does this have to do with Troubled Hubble, you ask? Well, Teaching the Indie Kids to Dance Again [one of my favorites] has linked up a Hubble track that I am overly fond of. It's exciting! Plus, it's hella-good publicity, since the blog gets about 1000 hits a day.

So yeah. Tee!
